In July 2024, Nehaa transformed her Bharatanatyam Arangetram into an      opportunity for service, inviting guests to support Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation of USA in lieu of gifts. The initiative raised $3,000 and supported five rural schools in India, connecting a personal milestone in Atlanta with communities thousands of miles away. What began as a single idea—using something she loved to help others—became the starting point for a much larger vision.

It showed Nehaa that young people could mobilize their own communities, build partnerships and turn personal passions into meaningful action across borders. That idea would eventually grow into

At PIXIE by SKS Hospitals, Nehaa explored multidisciplinary pediatric neurodevelopmental care through an eight-day clinical observership, gaining exposure to behavioral and neurodevelopmental assessments, physiotherapy, speech therapy, and interventions for children with autism and developmental delays.

Building on these clinical observations, Genova, led by Nehaa with India Outreach Leads Eniya and Sriste, developed an inclusive dance and movement workshop reaching 30 families. Activities were adapted to different developmental, communication and mobility needs, exploring how structured movement could support participation, attention, communication and engagement.

For Nehaa, the experience deepened questions about movement and neurodevelopment, connecting Genova’s community work with her research into dance and executive function in neurodivergent children.

As Genova expanded in India, Nehaa brought Eniya and Sriste on as India Outreach Leads, strengthening regional leadership and local perspective.

A two-week clinical internship at Dr. Sundarajan Hospital provided exposure to Emergency Medicine, Neurology and Cardiology. Building on her U.S. clinical experiences, Nehaa compared how infrastructure, clinical protocols, technology and resources shape healthcare delivery across different settings.

The experience broadened Genova’s focus from individual care to understanding how healthcare systems and local realities shape health outcomes.

In Mombasa, Kenya, Nehaa gained clinical exposure across Surgery and Pediatrics at Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital, extending Genova’s global-health learning into a third healthcare environment.

Building on experiences in the U.S. and India, she explored how infrastructure, resources, public-health priorities and cultural context shape healthcare delivery—deepening Genova’s understanding of how care must adapt across communities, resources and health systems in which patients live.

In The next step was connecting the same model of art + community + purpose more directly with healthcare. In partnership with Third Eye Dancers, Nehaa participated in a charitable dance initiative supporting Sankara Nethralaya’s vision-care mission, helping raise $10,000 while bringing together art, culture and service to build awareness and support for accessible eye care, including programs serving underserved communities in India.

These early experiences helped shape Genova’s growing belief that meaningful health impact can begin far beyond the walls of a hospital. Genova saw this as vision to mobilize communities around health, access and prevention.
