Global Health Initiatives
As part of the Genova Global Health Education iniative, Nehaa Rajagopa turned her Bharathanatyam Arangetram into an opportunity to give back. After 10 years of training, she celebrated her milestone in July 2024 while raising funds for Ekal Vidyalaya, encouraging guests to donate in lieu of gifts. Her initiative raised $2,407, with a 1:1 corporate match from Home Depot—demonstrating how young leaders can connect their passions with purpose to create meaningful community impact. Genova Global Health & Nehaa translated a clinical exposure event at PIXIE by SKS Hospitals into a thoughtfully designed dance and movement workshop for children with neurodivergent disabilities and developmental delays. Drawing on observations of physiotherapy, behavioral assessment, and speech therapy, the initiative adapted movement activities to accommodate different developmental, communication, and mobility needs. The program demonstrates Genova’s approach of connecting health education with youth-led, inclusive community programming that promotes participation, movement, communication, and engagement.
Global Clinical Learning & India Healthcare
Through Genova Global Health, team members connect clinical learning with meaningful community service. Experiences across emergency care, neurology, diagnostic imaging, and global healthcare settings build understanding of patient-centered medicine, while partnerships with developmental care programs translate those insights into action. Initiatives such as adaptive movement workshops demonstrate Genova’s focus on applying healthcare exposure, empathy, and service to support diverse community needs.
Clinical Care in Our Communities (Alpharetta - USA)
Through Genova Global Health’s U.S. Global Health Initiatives, team members gain firsthand exposure to healthcare delivery while serving their local communities. As a clinical volunteer at Wellstar North Fulton, supported patient transportation, prepared procedure supplies, and observed emergency care - building an understanding of clinical workflows, patient-centered service, and the essential teamwork behind healthcare delivery.
Genova Global Health team members will expand their global health perspective through clinical learning at Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kenya. Rotations in Surgery and Pediatrics will provide exposure to a busy public teaching hospital serving nearly six million people. The experience will emphasize cross-cultural healthcare, adaptability, resource-conscious care, and proactive learning, helping students understand how healthcare delivery and patient needs differ across global settings.
