Genova x ADA - Awareness to Action
As Genova’s work expanded, the focus moved beyond supporting health causes to helping communities understand and act on their own health. Glucocare is a diabetes-awareness initiative centered on prevention, education and proactive health management.
Through walkathons, social media, community partnerships, news coverage, publications and educational events, the campaign has reached 40,000+ people, translating diabetes information into accessible guidance on risk factors, healthier lifestyles and prevention.
GlucoCare helped shape a central idea behind Genova’s Community Outreach & Wellness pillar: meaningful health impact can begin before someone enters a hospital—by giving people the knowledge to make informed choices about their health.

Through Genova’s partnership with Spectrum Autism Support, Nehaa explored how movement could create more inclusive opportunities for children with autism and developmental differences. She expanded the initiative with Amar, Genova’s U.S. Initiatives Lead, building sustained local leadership around the program.
Across four adaptive dance and movement workshops reaching 50+ children, activities were adjusted through movement, music, repetition and different ways of participating—creating opportunities for connection, self-expression and wellbeing.
But the experience also raised a deeper question: Could the benefits of structured movement be studied scientifically? Observations from the workshops helped inspire Nehaa’s research into dance and executive function in neurodivergent children, ultimately earning a Silver CREST Award.

Genova x Spectrum - Movement Meets Mind
Genova Global Health partnered with Wonders of World (WOW) Foundation to help plan and organize Confi-Dance, bringing together 100+ neurodiverse and neurotypical children and their families through dance, music and creative expression. Building on Genova’s work with Spectrum, the experience provided another opportunity to observe how movement, participation and social interaction can support confidence, engagement and connection among children with different developmental needs.
These experiences are helping shape the next stage of Nehaa’s inquiry into movement and neurodevelopment, extending her Silver CREST research toward a more in-depth CREST Gold project exploring how movement may support neurodivergent children.

Through the 2026 AIWF–GAPI Mega Health Fair, Genova worked alongside an Atlanta-based network of 50+ physicians and health professionals delivering free screenings, medical consultations, health education, nutrition and wellness resources to the community.
For Nehaa, the experience brought community wellness into a patient-facing healthcare setting—providing firsthand exposure to how physicians engage with patients, identify health risks, communicate preventive guidance and connect families with healthcare resources.
It reinforced a central theme emerging across Genova’s work: prevention becomes more powerful when health education, early screening and trusted medical guidance reach people directly in their communities.

Genova x MITO - One Walk. One Hope
When a family friend’s young niece, Aadya, was diagnosed with SURF1 Leigh syndrome, a rare mitochondrial disease, the need for research became personal.
Genova Global Health partnered with the Walk for Mito, Walk for Aadya initiative, helping mobilize 100+ community members to raise awareness and funds for a disease with no currently approved cure.The walkathon supported efforts to advance SURF1 gene therapy research, connecting one family’s journey with a broader effort to move promising science toward patients.
For Genova, the experience reinforced a powerful lesson: behind every diagnosis is a family—and community action can turn awareness into momentum for research.
